It's been a busy year here at 304 HQ! We wanted to reflect with you our highlights of the year, and some of the big milestones for us as a brand. We thank you all for being part of the 304 journey and all your support over the past year. These highlights would not of been achievable without you!!!!

January

Let's take it back! Think back in the days of full lockdown (depressing we know) but a highlight for us was our collaboration with Sigma. The collection was a capsule of Hoodies, T-Shirts, and Joggers.  We loved working with them, and they even created some Spotify playlists for us. Why not get the tunes on to help dance through this January.

February

We love for our customers to have a positive mindset and do what makes them feel good. We launched our Running Club on Strava to achieve this. We created this group so our followers could all support and compete with each other through virtual group runs.

March

We wanted to go back to the 304 roots. Back in 2012 304 was founded by three friends who designed & made custom vests for their pals to wear to festivals. Now we offer the opportunity for you to be the designer of your own 304 creation. Why not  check it out. 

April

The Athflow collection was launched. A palette of Spring and timeless colours. The collection is a core lounge and gym wear range that is  "professional enough for the 'office,' stretchy enough for the yoga mat, and comfy enough for the couch".

May

Another 304 milestone was for 304 to be one of the first brands to be stocked on I Saw It First! An exclusive range of unisex hoodies and loungewear, that was an ultimate success. 

June

The team grows by three. We welcomed Jess, Marina and Georgia to the team to help kick start the second part of the year!

July

Summer was here at 304 and we wanted to celebrate! New designs, graphics and garments were launched across all Mens, Women's and Juniors. One of the best selling prints was the Lemon "still bitter" printed products which is still being sold as one of our best sellers today.

August

From listening to what our consumers wanted, we launched a plus size collection with retailer Bad Rhino. Offering Menswear from 3XL- 5XL. The collection was a raging success. Keep an eye out this year for further collection drops!

September

After 12 months of hard work and preparation we launched the 304 One Hundred collection. 100 items. 100% quality. 100 decisions to create the perfect garments.

October

Our Juniors range is growing from strength to strength. In October we did our first Juniors photoshoot featuring a range of new products. This is just the start of many more exciting things coming from the 304 Juniors club.

November

You would have struggled not to notice that we have launched our Build Your Own Box shopping experience on our website. You can pick 6 items for £100 through a unique user experience. What will you choose for your box. Pick yours' Now!

December

The 304 team wanted to do something different over Christmas. So we decided to have 12 days of Baking. From sausage rolls, chocolate cake to cheesecake there was something for everyone! No winner was picked as we all ate like kings.

Streetwear is a retail phenomenon that kicked off during the 80's. Think graffiti, skater boys and hip-hop.  Streetwear is BACK, and it's here to stay! It's not going anywhere and 304 clothing is here to have it's spin on it. 

 

"Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped turned upside down, And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-Air". We were all obsessed by Fresh Prince of Bel-Air growing up, and think the streetwear fashion styled by Will Smith had a bigger impression on us then we realised. The oversized tees, baggy aesthetic, with comfort and self expression being at the core of it's style. As a brand this is our message through our clothing too. Our brand message is "No Pause, Just Play." This is for our customers to find their own adventure in individually-customised clothes.

The history behind Streetwear is all about community and the exclusivity of being in that community. At 304 this is the relationship we want with our consumers. We offer them the exclusivity by being able to build their own custom creations. The custom lab offers customers a chance to really express their style by being in the seat of the designer. 

Shawn Stussy has it's roots in the influence of 304.  Stussy was known for it's influence waving across the West Coast of America to it being a global phenomenon.  Being the leader of Surfboards with it's graphics, which then translated into the Stussy clothing line. From then it has been one of the leading brands of Streetwear fashion. Here we are today and it's still influencing us with our 304 designs. From our Face Palm capsule of a graffiti style graphics, to our Retro Graphic collection. Stussy will always be an influence of 304 but with our own stamp on it.

 We asked our team what Streetwear throwbacks, styles and looks they love and would love to see incorporated into 304. Charlie loves the style in the film "Honey". If you haven't seen it it's one to watch whilst you are off over Christmas. It follows the life of a hip-hop choreographer, with cameo appearances from Missy Elliot. The Streetwear style featured  is one for the design mood-boards. Jess loves the Juicy Couture velour 90's matching tracksuit. Spotted on Paris Hilton and Britney Spears this was Streetwear worn in a new celebrity culture. For DMP an influential Streetwear product for him is an old school Kappa jacket.

What do you Think?

After the last year we think it's time to inject the fun back into our lives. What better way to do that then letting 304 Juniors Run the World! With summer now landing we wanted to add colour and fun to brighten our mini me's wardrobes.

Hi my name is Chloe and I'm a print specialist at 304. I have been lucky enough to develop and design the latest women's collection which is due to be released very, very soon (eeck). I wanted to bring summer vibes, bright colours, and a touch of Chloe style in to the brand. Here, I wanted to share my experience and insight to how we work at 304.

Inspiration

Inspiration came from the latest 304 "Summer Land"​ mens collection for print ideas, the boys did a great job smashing the design on this range. Shopping time was needed (not a bad aspect of the job) to gain garment design, colour, and styling ideas. Creating mood boards and putting all my inspiration together got my design mind flowing.

Curating the collection

After the initial stage it's time to get to business. It's the serious stage... time to put the collection together. The collection consists of 33 pieces including tees, co-ords, hoodies and accessories. It was fun being creative and putting the collection together, and seeing the end result of a rainbow rail of clothing.

The photoshoot

Now time for the ta'da moment! The photoshoot has arrived. Style bits were ordered to help give the looks a more editorial, and adaptable look for consumers. The girls ran the shoot, and fair to say we smashed it! The end result couldn't of looked better. When you see the process from design to the end result come to life it's a feeling you can't beat. I'm so happy and grateful to 304 for giving me this opportunity, and can't wait to do more!

Now for an exclusive (ssshhhh) it's going live the 23rd of June, so I expect to see you all adding to basket.

With our own Beethoven dog at the office we want to share the love and entertainment that dogs can bring. Lucy at 304 recommends the classic Beethoven. Beethoven is a St Bernard and has just moved in with his adopted family. A story that is ensured to make you laugh and is a heart warming watch. Beethovens' life adventures with his new family takes on a different adventure as the family vet wants to use him as a subject for his deadly experiments.

A series which has been around for a while but definitely on the must watch list  is Ozark. Here at 304 this is one Emma can't recommend enough to people to watch. The series is about a family relocating to the community in the Ozark's, after a money-laundering scheme goes wrong. Follow the family on their  journey whilst being in debt to a Mexican drug lord.  Full of scandal, suspence, and action this will certainly keep you entertained.

TRUE LIFE STORIES; YOUR TYPE OF WATCH?

White House Farm is a great recreational drama of a tragic murder story. This will definitely keep you at the edge of your seat of who did it! The story follows the murders of five family members that were murdered on the same night. Be part of the investigation as you follow the suspence as the truth unfolds.

Back in 2013 our Brand Director & Co Founder DMP met Cam 1/2 of Sigma through a mutual friend in Manchester & they hit it off. Within the first month of knowing each other and discussing some ideas for some collaborative merchandise, Sigma was just about to blow up on the radio with their hit 'Nobody to Love' & the collab sold out within 2 weeks. At the time, it was the fastest selling T-Shirt in 304's history.

Cam & Joe have just gone from strength to strength since that day, headlining festivals all over the world & becoming a house hold name across the glove. Fast forward to Lockdown 2020, David & Cam started chatting again about the march & what Sigma had planned beyond the current global lockdowns, and they came up with the idea of creating a capsule range that could bring even just 1% of that feeling of being at a gig or a festival, through the use of colours and images. 

The range is a 15 piece collection, ranging from T-Shirts, to hoodies to joggers & with the current situation in the UK right now, they are the perfect house rave pieces.

304 - What was your first experience of live music & was there anything that sticks with you still to this day from that experience?
CAM - My family went to see the Gypsy kings live. Im sure that’s not the first experience but the first one I can remmeber. Only really the music sticks, however I do have the worst memory on the planet.

304 - How did you and Joe meet & where?
CAM - This has been documented about 1million times, but i’ll do but again!! We met at Leeds Uni, I was running events and Joe was DJing and promoting some as well. He came into the record shop I worked at and put some poster up. We got chatting and I soon realised he was a sick catch dj, so booked him to play in the back room at the Drum and bass arena party.

304 - When you are preparing for a Set or Festival, how do you guys plan what you are going to wear, or is it more of a case of what T-Shirt is clean? lol
CAM - We used to wear anything at our shows! Now we are a bit more in tune with clothing so we are far more interestred in our appearance. We learned quickly that on a dark stage, its not about wearing all black! Awe used to get lost on the stage!! A big jacket and a sick tshirt is a staple.

304 - What is your favourite set of all time that you played?
CAM - Our set at the Road Albert hall was special. We sold out the place for one night only! Choir, orchestra etc etc It was epic

304 - What is your favourite festival?
CAM - This is a hard one. We always love playing at WeAre or SW4 is always a laugh. But tbh we would play at any gig after this bloody year!

304 - If you could only play one song on repeat for the rest of your life what would it be and why?
CAM - Nobody to love…. Obviously not! Something chilled by lludovico einaudi. Pick one

CAM - Water 

304 - If you could feature one signer on a future track, dead or alive who would it be?
CAM - Dead - Marvin Gaye.

304 - What is it you like about Jaunimo g. 1, Subačiškės, & why did you guys decide to do a capsule range with them?
CAM - We have been mates for some time now and we reached out to the guys to grab a few bits from the new range. We started chatting about merchandising etc and we came up with the collab idea. Its nice to work with someone who gets your ideas’ and also turns stuff around quickly.

304 - What is your favourite piece from the collection?
CAM - I love the live your life hoodie. Its a mantra for us.
